There really are some things that don't work out. But most of the time, it's for the better... = )
I am a contradiction. Often times you would see me surrounded with friends, happily chatting and clowning around. But there are times when you would see me alone, silently observing what's happening around me and mulling things over. I like expressing my ideas and opinions to others, but sometimes I prefer listening to them instead, knowing fully well that I would gain knowledge through them or learn from their mistakes. I don’t know, maybe I’m just too moody. The way I go through each day and how I live my life depends on my mood. Maybe being a Piscean made me this way, or maybe not!
I am a frank and outspoken person, but I don’t act on impulse. I am the kind of person who thinks things through before I act. Maybe I owe it to my being a writer; writers always think of the most appropriate words to use in saying their thoughts and the best way in expressing their ideas and opinions… without minimizing the impact, of course!
I am a “fashionista” since birth. I don’t usually follow the latest trends because I have my own style. I’m “maarte” in my own unique way . But, unlike what others usually think, I am not a vain person. I just like to be presentable when I leave the house. You never know when a once-in-a-lifetime chance comes so you always have to look good and put your best foot forward!
I love, love, love reading – from novels to editorial pages. It’s a passion I inherited from my family. My mom, my brother, and I have our own collection of books. If you would put it all together, you would think you’re in a library or something! I am also a fast reader – years of practice (since I was 2 years old!) made me one.
Music is in my blood. I don’t think I can live without it. I appreciate all genres of music – well, maybe except jazz!
I believe in fate, but I also believe that I am the one who makes it and makes it happen. That’s the reason I’m quite determined. I am not the type of person who gives up and moves on that easily. When I want to achieve something, I push myself to strive harder for my goal. Giving up would be my last resort. I am also focused with what I do. I don’t let anyone or anything distract me from it. I always hear out both sides of the story before giving my advice or opinion. I have the tendency to see the bigger picture. I also have the knack to adapt with any kind of person or situation. Through it, I don’t have any difficulty in connecting with other people or dealing with impossible and complicated situations.
Well, I can’t help the way I am and even if I can, I won’t change a thing. I can proudly say that those people around me are the ones who know the real me and accept everything about me, flaws and all! I’m very much proud of who I am and of what I have become!
